Platinum Procyon fountain pen lemon yellow

he Procyon is an exciting new development from Platinum. Essentially three components were worked on: the cap, the nib and the ink guide. The result is a modern writing instrument that fits well in the hand, always writes immediately and is very comfortable to write with an elastic nib.

The nib is not round, but has a pentagonal profile. This makes it more elastic than other steel springs.

The ink conductor has a very deep air hole. This has the advantage that the fountain pen only needs to be dipped slightly into the ink to fill it. The spring just needs to be dipped, nothing more. The handle stays clean and you can still draw ink even when the ink bottle is almost empty.

The cap has a special mechanism that Platinum calls Slip & Seal. The inner cap closes completely tightly around the handle. The advantage is that the ink cannot evaporate through the ink conductor and the fountain pen does not dry out. Even after months, the ink still flows well and the fountain pen writes straight away.

The Procyon is available in five modern colors, which are created through elaborate varnishing: the white fountain pen has a high gloss finish, while all other colors have a matt varnish.
