In July, the star festival, the day of Tanabata, is celebrated in Japan. According to legend, the two lovers Hikoboshi and Orihime meet on this one day only in the Milky Way.
To celebrate, Japanese people write their wishes on small strips of paper and hang them on bamboo branches.
This is exactly the festival that is commemorated in the July version of the Iro-Joukei series. With a wonderful mix of midnight blue and gold dust.
The Iro-Joukei series is a limited series from Taccia: every 12 months, a fountain pen is dedicated to the different colors of the seasons. These are all lacquered with Urushi and show a beautiful color gradient. Only 88 fountain pens are produced each month.
The fountain pen has a 14 kt gold nib and is supplied with a converter. The pen weighs 30 g and has a diameter of 13.8 mm and a length (closed) of 150 mm.
